not much going on in the stressed mom’s household this weekend. thats a good thing. the week was crazy…. so having some quiet time (for the most part) is well deserved.
the husband got stuck in georgia at some chicken factory over the weekend. he cant get his truck unloaded until tomorrow.. so hes CHIPPER about that. at least he isnt HERE being pissed.. lol. the kids have been chill for the most part.. not fighting TOO much.. not that i can hear anyway.
yesterday i mowed the yard… in the MIDDLE of the day. durrr. it was 105° outside. GAG. i did get some color on my arms and legs tho.. that was a bonus

about an hour ago.. the girlie asked me ~ if she were to get a boyfriend.. could she go out on a date with him. lol… um.. she just turned 13 a few weeks ago. now.. ask me if you can color your hair pink.. wear clothes that NO ONE else would wear.. say the occasional cuss word ~ FINE. ask me about dating.. and you wont like the answer.
i said no.. not until she is in high school-ish. 7th & 8th grade is NOT the time for girls to start dating. we are old fashioned when it comes to dating. these days ~ the ones who DO “date” at that age (the ones here in our town anyway).. are the ones coming to school saying “OMG i think i missed my period”. you probably think im kidding.. but im NOT. teen boy and the girlie came home from school often last year with news about certain girls coming to school saying this. these super awesome mature kids are also the kids who were turned into the police last year by a parent who found a picture of about 6 girls and 4 boys half naked… and then sexting it to about 20 other people. yeah.. dating at 13?
that would be a HELL NO.
when I was in Jr High… the WOW factor was being KISSED. dont i feel old.
even if i could trust her (which i dont)… she is physically a 13 year old.. but emotionally she is still about 8 or 9. she is playing with BRATZ dolls right now… and made a fort out of her blankets. she also craves attention so bad (positive AND negative).. and is soooo gullible and naive that she would fall for ANY line.. no matter how much i preach about how NOT to be THAT girl. the attention from any boy would trump any wisdom i ever shared with her. hell.. she admits that she never thinks about consequences with small things she fks up on… can you imagine? OH and she is a follower.
all of these combined.. and no.. you will not date at 13 or 14. we will talk about it again when you are 15.
i remember when i was 13 (and what I did)…. thats enough of a reason right there.. LOL.
on a different note.. im starting my “diet” and exercise plan tomorrow. why? well.. because i dont have ENOUGH to stress about… *sigh.
